First,I will Change to my mind to like English ,and if they want to my helping that I will help them about something.Really I will be able to speak English well that helping is easy;however,if I can help them ,I must help something for them . Second,I think they have more English vocablary then me.Sometimes, they will help me we will have communication and we will be a friend. now. I didn't help my classmate, and I'm so sorry from my classmate. thank you classmate.
New students who will take classes with my classmates are very lucky because I think, my classmates are awesome. My class students are very active and friendly so new students can accustom to our class easily and make friends quickly. I am very wondering about new friends. I want to be close with them and hang out together. I think, walking around is a good way to accustom to here. If they walk around San Jose downtown, they can get oriented here and feel more comfortable. On weekend, I advise to go out and meet friends. If they stay at home all day, they will feel boring easily. I advise them just one thing about study. Don’t put off homework especially, Kelly’s. I think the best way to improve English is following teacher’s directions. I am looking forward to seeing my new class mates.
If our class has some new student, I think it will be interesting. I really like to make friend with everybody, so I will help them to adapt with our class. I will introduce class member for the new student. I told about our class also such as: what we’ll do in class, how many home works we have every day, etc. I think new student will easy to adapt in our class, because our class is very funny and friendly. I’ll miss all of you when I move to Washington DC
I think that is a very interesting matter when we have the new classmate to our class, because in our class, everyone's affection is very good and friendly, i believe they are able to integrate our life quickly. Maybe we can have a small party at lunch time and taking about some interesting topics about SAL's life. I think we can know how to help their english literary faster or adapt the life of SanJose from the chat.
I think newcomers will like my classmates rapidly if they join in our classes because my classmates is friendly and lovely. Moreover, SAL is a good environment so that new students can improve their English. Because in SAL they will meet many people who are from many countries, so they can only speak English with them. they can exchange, and ask the teachers everything if they want. Here teachers who are friendly are always ready to help them. They also can join in the English clubs. They can go to the big library that is near SAL in order to borrow book or media that helps for their study. At weekend they should go out with someone to enjoy happy time. They can visit to some beautiful places in San Jose. I hope that new students will feel happy to study and live here. Good luck!
First of all, i'll advise to the new SAL students to buy a car because to travel around San Jose is quite difficult without a car. Secondly, make friends with other people who have smillar activity interest. Third, find where u can do this activity. Then they can adapt as soon as possible.
If new student enjoying our class, it will give to them really fantastic experience because our classmates are all friendly to each other, they won't worry about to make friends. San Jose has really good weather to study and other activity. If they want to sightseeing any time, except class time. If they want more improove English, they have to do homework sincerity and they remain any other time they have to read books. It is helpful to improove English. If they feel difficult, they read more easy books. For example, the spiderweick. It was make movie from the book. Last advice is don't afraid about tolking to native speaker. They are more than nice your thinking.
Well, I will suggest them better speak English all the time, even at home. Sometimes it is difficult to speak English when you are not a native speaker. However, the fastest way to increase English is speak it all the time, include speak with the people who comes from the same country. I will also suggest them go out if they have time, but be careful do not stay in San Jose down town in the evening when you are alone.
To me, I give them suggestion that try do ask somebody question if you have any problem. When I came here, I was too shy to ask teacher my question. I think it is wrong because we paid money to learn English. We do not waste money. Furthermore, they could go supermarket or shopping mall with friend. I think it is good way to adapt new environment. You could make new friends different country, I think you also make new friends the same country with you. However, I think you will say your own language with your friends. Even though, you tried to say English, but I think sometimes it is so difficult. Therefore, I suggest they could make new friend and hand out with them.
There four advices for new students to adapt a new environment. First, they should make friend with our classmates as soon as they join our class because friends are people who always stay with them during their study time. In addition, our classmates are very wonderful. They are smart, friendly and humorous. Second, they ought to ask teachers whatever they don’t understand. “Be confident, don’t be so nervous” is what I want to tell them. Third, they need to go out with their friends, their relatives or even on their own on weekend to get used to the city life. Walking around San Jose downtown is the best way to get acquainted to the new environment in this city. Talking with the native speakers can help them improve their English. Fourth, they should go to the library at least once a week to borrow books or media to relax after a hard study week. Moreover, books and media are very helpful for their developing on reading and listening skill. In short, they need to try to go and talk as much as they can.
For me, this is my second semester in SAL, so I can't recommend many places to new students. Actually, at the first time, I really tried to adapt new environment, but it was a little difficult because I was embarrassed to meet new people who speak English. However, after I took the SAL classes, I was able to quickly adjust to living in San Jose because many students helped me and gave me a lot of information that I needed. I advice new students not to worry about their English and not to be nervous because all my classmates are friendly; they will help new students to adapt fast as I was given. Also, I will help them because they don't have any idea such as where is the bank or SAL office. They just need to be open-minded. I’m really excited to meet new students, hang out, and of course, study with them
I remmber I came to school first time. It is a little to adapt. I should adapt the weather of CA, speaking English, new transportation system and so on. But the most difficut for me is to make friends because I am shy to take strangeness. But I should study and conversate with my classmate. So I adapted it. I think new students have similar with my experience. I think process is hard, but finally everything are alright
I think the best way to adapt to life at SAL and in San Jose is making friends. It is easy to feel lonely when they are new in unfamiliar environment. If they make new friends who is from other country and have different culture, it will be one of the pleasant memories of their lives. I'm sure that new students will be a close friends quickly with us because all of our classmates are very nice and friendly. Furthermore, they can hang out with friends. Lately, the weather is very sunny in San Jose. If they don't have a car, transportation of San Jose is convenient, such as bus, light rail, and carl train. I want to be a good friend to them, and I want to say good luck to learn English with us!!!
As a senior student at SAL, I’d like to give new students three useful advices to help them quickly adapt to the new life at SAL and in San Jose. First they should try to make friends here. Because they just came to the new environment, they may be unfamiliar with everything or have some questions about different situation. If they have friends live here, they can surely get lots of information from them. Second if they have any problems, they can feel free to ask the teachers or staffs at SAL. According to my experience, they are very kind and glad to help students. Last but not least, they should learn and practice English as much as they can everyday. Once they improve their English a lot, they’ll get used to American life. In short, we welcome new students to join us and hope they’ll have great time.
